Medium: acrylic and oil paint on canvas
Inspired by a photograph taken in Playa Venao, Panama, by Ron Katz
Just Be captures a quiet moment in Playa Venao, the place I call home. A woman rests on her surfboard, held by the ocean, with nowhere else she needs to be. Her relaxed body is the freedom of becoming completely present and letting life move around you without needing to control it. Two stingrays formed from intuitive shapes appear in the scene, one moving through the water and one seeming to fly across the sky, blurring the line between sea and air, reality and imagination. A free flowing line travels through the ocean, around the woman and up into the sky like a visible current of energy. Not every moment asks us to act or become more. Sometimes it is enough to feel the water beneath us and simply be.
Available as a gallery canvas print (textured, fade resistant canvas on 1.25 inch solid wood stretcher bars, mounting brackets included) or as an enhanced matte paper framed poster (ayous wood frame, acrylite front, hanging hardware included). Printed on demand.
